1. Introduction
Online applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for recruitment to the Fire Service posts listed in Clause 2 below. The recruitment is conducted on an all-India basis by Sea Route Maritime Services & Academy, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
Candidates are advised to read this notice in full before filling the online application. Submitting an application implies that the candidate has read and accepted every condition stated here.

3. Eligibility Conditions
3.1 Nationality
The candidate must be a citizen of India. There is no domicile restriction; candidates from all States and Union Territories may apply.
3.2 Age
The candidate must have completed 18 years and must not have exceeded 45 years of age as on the last date of application. Age is calculated from the date of birth recorded on the 10th class certificate.
3.3 Educational Qualification
As specified against each post in Clause 2. The qualification must be from a board, university or institution recognised by the appropriate authority. Result-awaited candidates may apply, but must produce the certificate at document verification.
3.4 Physical Standards
All candidates must be physically fit for field duty. Height and weight declared in the application are measured again at the Physical Standards Test, and a material discrepancy is a ground for rejection. Candidates with a medical condition that prevents strenuous fire-ground duty should not apply.
3.5 Character
The candidate must be of good character and must not have been convicted by any court, or have any criminal case pending, involving moral turpitude.

- The fee is payable online only, through the payment link shown after the application is submitted.
- The fee is non-refundable in every circumstance, including rejection of the application or withdrawal by the candidate.
- An application whose fee has not been received is treated as incomplete and is not taken into scrutiny.
- Fee already paid may be verified at any time on the Application Status page.

Being called for any stage does not by itself confer a right to appointment. The decision of the recruiting authority on eligibility and selection is final.
6. Documents Required at Verification
- Printed acknowledgement slip of the online application.
- Proof of date of birth — 10th class certificate or equivalent.
- Educational certificates and mark sheets for the qualification claimed.
- Caste / category certificate, where a category other than General is claimed.
- Aadhaar card and one additional photo identity document.
- Two recent passport-size photographs.
- Experience certificate, where experience is required for the post.
7. How to Apply
- Open the online application form on this portal.
- Fill every mandatory field. The entire application is on one page, including the mobile number.
- Accept the declaration and submit the form.
- Note the registration number displayed on screen. It is also emailed to you.
- Pay the ₹ 100 application fee from the payment button on the acknowledgement screen, or later from the Application Status / Pay Fee page.
- Print the acknowledgement slip and keep it safely.
8. Important Instructions to Candidates
- Enter your name and date of birth exactly as on your 10th class certificate. A mismatch at verification leads to rejection.
- Details once submitted cannot be edited. Check every field before you submit.
- Use a mobile number and email address that will remain active for the whole recruitment cycle. All intimation is sent by email.
- Only one application per candidate is accepted. Duplicate applications are rejected.
- Furnishing false information, or suppressing material information, at any stage results in cancellation of candidature and forfeiture of the fee.
- Candidates are cautioned against touts and unauthorised agents who promise appointment. No payment beyond the ₹ 100 application fee is required at the application stage.
- The recruiting authority reserves the right to modify, postpone or cancel this recruitment, in whole or in part, without assigning a reason.
- Any dispute arising out of this recruitment is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
